Winnipeg , Manitoba, Canada – May 29th 2009 – Nord-Sen Metal Industries Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of Strongco Engineered Systems from its parent company Strongco Income Fund.
The sale brings together two companies that have a combined 150 year history in the manufacture of bulk material handling equipment. Strong Scott the founding company of Strongco opened its Canadian operation exactly 100 years ago in Winnipeg.
The company will have a new name: Nordstrong Equipment Limited
"The merger allows us to offer a full line of conveying equipment truly on a national and international basis" said Terry Milnes, President of Nord-Sen. "Having products that are purpose built for all bulk material handling applications will position Nordstrong extremely well in today's market and brings together the tremendous strength of two great companies."
